Learned to use a scissor lift during rigging; performed aerial hoop solos; practiced in heels (thigh-high Pleasers) but ultimately didn’t perform in them. Even though I was quite nervous about doing 15 min of ambient I had a lot of fun doing single-point hoop to techno, even adding some challenging spins, floorwork, and above-hoop (in-the-rope) moves that I wasn’t especially conditioned for. Wasn’t really expecting tips from the audience but found it really sweet to interact with them. ...

Myles invited me to perform for the rigging component of Magnitude 2025 (a Folsom circuit party on Saturday evening). Rigging The venue was SVN West. We had some issues with rigging (the heights were not ideal, and we had some cross-talk between the chains and the hoop that meant the chains hit the hoop spanset a bit when spinning even when the hoop was pulled out of the way, and because we tried to set the hoop as far away from the chains as possible, it was slightly too close to the (already too-close) gogo stage behind us, which meant that we clipped it at full extension). ...

I had formerly made this red “futch” harness sized for myself as an alternative to bulldog harnesses (a ubiquitous FSF accessory that has become). I think harnesses look best when they accentuate the lines of the body (like a mesh on a 3D model, or a not-quite-anatomically-correct skeleton). To complete the look I quickly knocked out a leather belt and A. ordered tactical hardware to match the silver/red theme.
